This study attempted to establish the consequences of incarceration of female parents on their children, a study of Wells at Hope Junior School, Nakaseke district. This abstract entails a summary of all the five chapters which led to the completion of the book. Basing on the literature available, incarceration of female parents’ increases day by day whole over the world however the children to the inmates are not looked at/ considered when the female parents are incarcerated. The study was guided by three objectives which were clearly understood by the use of research questions. Having been guided with the scope of the study which included content, geography and time scopes, the study objectives were successfully fulfilled. In due consideration of the study themes, comparison of information from different sources which included the journals, books, articles and reports was done to understand how intense the study problem was. While the study used both qualitative and quantitative methods, case study research design was employed to explore the vital information from respondents this was through the use in-depth personal interviews and secondary data review. Data was analysed to bring out the concrete findings and interpretations about the study. The major findings established showed that children were tortured with the feeling of continuous loss of having a parent in prison and it lessened after the interventions like prison visits, counselling, education and health care provided by Wells of Hope Ministries. The study provided recommendations to the various categories of efforts that need to be done to ensure that children’s human rights are fulfilled.en_US
