Analysis of factors influencing adoption of improved maize varieties by farmers in Lira district: a case study of Adekokwok sub-county, Boke parish, Opwakere village
Abstract
This study aimed at analyzing the factors influencing the adoption of improved maize varieties by farmers in Adekokwok sub county, boke parish, Opwakere village. The specific objectives of this study were to determine the relationship between a farmer’s age, level of education, contact with extension agents, and access to credit facilities with the adoption of IMV.
This dissertation comprises of five chapters where chapter one entails the background of the study, objectives and statement of the problem; Chapter two entails literature review about the specific objectives and the conceptual framework of the study; Chapter three includes research design, study population, sampling techniques used, data collection techniques and data analysis and management techniques. Chapter four entails the results of the research and discussion of findings and lastly Chapter five comprises of conclusions and recommendations that are in line with this research.
