The effects of air traffic activity on Uganda Civil Aviation Authority revenues for the period 2005/6 to 2019/20
Abstract
This document consists of five chapters. The first chapter contains the background to the study, objectives, hypotheses, research questions, significance of study. Chapter two contains the review of the literature. Chapter three contains the methodology. The presentation and interpretation of results is summarized in chapter four. The final chapter contains the summary of findings, conclusions and recommendations.
The main objective of the study is on the effect of air traffic activity on the revenues of Uganda civil aviation authority. The specific objective includes; i) To find out the relationship between passenger traffic and CAA’s total revenue. ii) To find out the relationship between cargo traffic and CAA’s total revenue. iii) To find out the relationship between overflights and CAA’s total revenue. iv) To find out the relationship between commercial movements and CAA’s total revenue. The air traffic statistics were analyzed for the period between 2005/6 to 2019/20
The study found out that, cargo traffic international passenger traffic, overflights have a positive relationship with the revenue of Uganda civil aviation authority. Domestic passengers made up only 2% of all passengers through Entebbe International Airport
