The study was conducted to profile the factors affecting the choice of science subject at HSC in Lugazi Town Council. The government of Uganda is encouraging students to take on science related combinations and courses ,however, this is still not being achieved in Uganda. This is attributed to several factors and a study was conducted in Hope Christian High School in Lugazi Town Council to understand more of these factors. The source of data was students of Hope Christian High School in Lugazi Town Council in Buikwe District data Analysis was done by SPSS and Stata statistical software. Multivariate analysis was done by fitting a binary logistic regression model to establish the factors. Bivariate analysis was also performed to test the hypothesis of the study. The study found out that there is a significant relationship between the grades students obtain at ordinary level and uptake of sciences at advanced level where first graders are associated more with doing sciences. Similarly students who are in boarding section were found out to be taking more of sciences, implying being at school is significantly associated with science uptake.en_US
