dc.description.abstract | The information in this report is written by a BSE 19-18 group and this report includes a number of sections or chapters that are well explained in accordance to the problem that we have addressed, with the solution. This report provides a detailed description of micro-biz-space: a distributed cost sharing rental space system for low income Kampala product retailers, it clearly describes the problem that is currently faced by people in Kampala, that is to say many people would like to operate their businesses but may not know which places to go to around Kampala or they could be busy and do not have time to move up and down looking for free space in shops, and most people cannot afford to pay the amount for the rent alone since they are running small businesses. Also some people find it a hard task to monitor their business in case where they have employees working on their behalf since they have to physical go there to see their businesses. It also has a description of the system being developed, that enables users to view the various shops in various locations, the space available and they can book if interested in the shop and the location. The users can as well keep track of their business as the system allows people selling on their behalf to record all transactions made for the goods sold. The report also includes information about the scope of the project, test plan for the system with all components or documents to be tested, who does the testing, techniques employed, sequence of tests (test cases) made, and the various types of tests involved. It shows the configurations and installation of the system, the servicing and maintenance of the system such that the system can operate as required and facilitate new changes to the system. And lastly it provides a user manual with all screen shots of how the system is to be used or how it works. | en_US |
