    A Literary study of Satire in selected Folktales of Lugbara People

    Abstract
    The study was conducted in Lugbara sub-region to analyze the use of satire in selected folktales of Lugbara people. The study used a sample size of 10 respondents to obtain the information through oral narratives. Data analysis was done using thematic and textual analysis. The results revealed that, most of the folktales in Lugbara at least contain some element of satires and the study found that most of this satirical elements used in the folktales were paradox, antithesis, parody and violence. Recommendations were made and area for further research also has been identified.
