National Medical Store has been providing services mainly delivering of medical equipment and medicine to government hospitals . Due to the increase in the number of patients and rise of many diseases among the communities, reliable service delivery has deteriorated since many hospitals are found to have no medicine needed for their treatment. The ordering of medicine in government hospitals is paper based and traditional. Whereby the hospital has to make order through the district head
of office who in turn forwards to NMS. Many of the hospitals don't record time when the medicine will get finished and NMS has delivery schedules for different regions in the country once in a month which is the problem we justified. To solve this problem, we proposed the development of E medicine. The developed E medicine can support the the different hospital activities
regarding the ordering of medicine with ease and giving updates about the existing situation of medicine.
We developed the project basing on collected requirements and specifications obtained by using techniques such as interviews, document reviewing and questionnaires. The web portal was designed to support the major processes at the hospital which include registration of government hospital procures and the ordering of medicine basing on the name and quantity of medicine needed. The government hospital procures are registered by the administrator and they can be able to view and edit their interface. Ordering of medicine. The design of the system was done using a context diagram, entity relationship Diagram, data flow diagram, etc which were constructed using Microsoft Visio. The system was developed using technologies like PHP, Javascript and MySQL and runs on desktops and laptops. The adoption of this system would be valuable to NMS since such a
system can help handle different requests from the government hospitals.
