dc.description.abstract | Architecture is not a self-independent individuality. In my opinion, it comes to existence only through relation to various elements of the surroundings like water, green, light or wind,” Tadeo The goal of this study is to understand how landscapes can be best appreciated within Uganda and designed. Landscapes should contribute to the well-being of society both physically and emotionally. The research focuses on the Makerere University landscape observing the different cultures and its transformation over the years. The main argument is that there is a lot of focus on the experience and impact of Interior design whilst the landscape is done as an afterthought. Little attention compared to the rest of the design is paid to it. This study offers knowledge on how to design landscapes that respond to the users and ensure an appreciation for the art of landscape design. The exterior is as important as the Interior. | en_US |
