dc.description.abstractThis reported is generated based on the research carried out at Sugar Corporation of Uganda Limited (SCOUL). This is focused at minimizing costs of production at the major four sections of the company (Cane Yard, Mill House, Boiling House and Bagging section), through material handling system study by looking at the major factors that causes delays in the manufacturing industries, factors that led to sugar accumulation at the bagging sections and examining costs of materials handling at SCOUL. This report contains five major chapters that includes, Introduction, Literature review, Methodology, Findings and Data analysis, Conclusions and recommendations and references at the end. At the end, it looks at the conclusion and the recommendation put forth to help the company minimize the costs of production in the factory.en_US
