Standard operating procedures for non ferrous foundries are steps to follow in the production of non ferrous metals. Non ferrous metals are those without iron as a base metal. They are produced from primary ores or scrap. When scrap is used for their production, there should be proper preparation of charge and optimization of casting parameters. This will enable one to obtain a finished product with good properties. The use of sand casting especially in Uganda cannot allow proper optimization of casting parameters. This called for need to develop standard operating procedures while gravity die casting to optimize casting parameters in local saucepan foundries. The design was done by solid works and results optimized by Altaire Inspire.en_US
