dc.description.abstractThe objective of this paper is to estimate the effect of urbanization on unemployment in Uganda. A model is developed to quantify the statistical relationship between unemployment –population and gross domestic product with urbanization. It is believed that urbanization, population and gdp exert affirm impact on unemployment in the economy of Uganda. A positive relationship is assumed to hold between unemployment and urbanization as well as with population .Gdp is supposed to have a negative relationship with unemployment. The study in its scope also seeks to analyze impact of urbanization on unemployment rates in Uganda’s urban population. Therefore the relationship is an important contribution towards policy implication for unemployment eradication policies. In addition to the study of knowledge through data analysis, this research paper suggests that finding relationship of unemployment and urbanization in time series data for Uganda will reveal exciting results and unemployment eradication policies can be target orienteden_US
