This thesis analyses the impact of workers compensation insurance on job satisfaction. To accomplish this, data was collected from 80 workers from various departments at Britania Allied Limited using mainly using questionnaires, interviews and focus group discussions. The data collected was exported to Stata for data processing and analysis. The results showed that the most of the respondents were between the age of ranges 21-30 and 31-40 years. Majority of the respondents were male (56.25%) with most of the working day shift (50%). Most of the respondents were from the fruit juice department (22.5%) showing the best response to the questionnaires. Other departments had administrative (15%), biscuits and confectionary (17.5%), fruit flavored syrups and sauces had (13.75%) as their response rates. Of the respondents the got injured, most of the injured their fingers (42.42%), legs and hands (18.18%), head (9.09%) and others (12.12%). The injuries were not so fatal since majority of the injured workers (50%) of out of worker for less than a month. The compensation rates are high (60.61%) with most of the injured individuals being compensated within the first six months leading positive attitude of the workers hence more productivity and efficiency. Workers that didn’t have workers compensation insurance had a negative attitude towards working hard since there was no assurance of compensation in case of any fatal injury that occurred to them thus there was less productivity and this created a bad working relationship between the employees and management. The study also recommended that more employers acquire workers compensation insurance for their workers since it re-assures them on the job of compensation in form of health and cash benefits thus even motivating them to learn new skills that can be transferred to the job thus improving on their efficiency.en_US
