Abstract
This research study was carried out in mainly two districts; Kampala (Kasubi) and Pallisa districts (Bolliso II) respectively. The purpose was to find out how the people living in these communities that are both rural (Pallisa) and urban (Kampala) understand in depth the ideal of condolence and also to explore how they construct meanings from condolence messages availed to them. This is done with an aim of sampling views of different categories of people based on age, gender and the level of literacy.
The number of people that whose views and ideas feature in this literary work makes an average of 10. Most of the times people have gone ahead to narrate to me their experiences and also to relate real life happenings that they belief perhaps suit my case study.
