dc.description.abstractThe study was carried out around Kampala, at Mulago National Referral Hospital along Kamwokya road. The study looked at the use of drama as a therapeutic tool for mental health issues in Kampala. The researcher explored qualitative research design where the researcher carried out interviews. The findings were processed and analyzed to attain constructive information about drama therapy effectiveness in dealing with mental health issues, in Mulago national referral hospital. In this regard, drama therapy helped in enhancing the patients self-expression skills in their quest to recollect their lives and pursuit of their life dreams and goals while at the same time living in harmony with the community. While using various drama therapy techniques such as story-telling, poetry, role playing, this study examines and shows how drama therapy can be used as an effective tool in dealing with mental health issues.en_US
