This project report provides a comprehensive overview and analysis of design, fabrication and performance testing of a filtration system for water abstraction. The objective of this project was to design, fabricate and carry out performance evaluation of a filtration system for water abstraction. In order to achieve this, a detailed investigation, experimentation, and implementation were carried out, encompassing various stages and methodologies. This report begins with a concise introduction to the project, outlining the background, motivation, and objectives. It highlights the relevance and significance of the project in its respective field or industry. Following the introduction, the methodology section provides an in-depth description of the approach taken to accomplish the project goals. This includes; Designing the Filtration Device following the chosen design principles and considerations, drawing the parts of the device using Solid Edge software V16, making Demo of the filtration Device, carrying out performance evaluation e.g Filtration rate of the sieve. The main findings and results of the research project are presented and discussed in the subsequent section. This includes; filtration rates of the sieve and sieve resizing using a generated equation. Additionally, any challenges or limitations encountered during the project are acknowledged and addressed. Furthermore, this report discusses the implications and potential applications of the project outcomes. It explores the practical implications of the findings and how they contribute to the existing knowledge or field. The report also highlights the project's relevance in addressing current industry trends, challenges, or demands. Lastly, the conclusion section summarizes the key findings, implications, and future directions. It provides a comprehensive understanding of the project's achievements, limitations, and recommendations for further improvement or exploration. This project report serves as a valuable resource for farmers, engineers among others interested in water abstraction. The insights and outcomes presented in this report contribute to the existing body of knowledge and pave the way for future advancements in water and irrigation engineering.en_US
