dc.description.abstractThis dissertation investigates and describes communication strategies in winning the Makerere University guild elections 2023. It also presents the significance of the study which helped to find the different communication strategies and how they were employed by different candidates during the 2023 Makerere University guild elections. The dissertation further presents the reviews of different authors about communication strategies employed during campaigns and the most effective communication strategy. The third chapter presents the methodology of the study which took a qualitative research using interviews from aspiring candidates and their voters and ethical consideration where the researcher had to seek informed consent of the respondents, ensuring that they are not harmed and their information is kept with the highest level of confidentiality. Chapter four presents the analysis of data and interpretation discussion and findings where respondents provided their views of the effect of the pandemic on the different religions .
