dc.description.abstract | The study examined the relationship between job insecurity, motivation and job
performance among employees of national water and Sewerage Corporation. A correlation study
design was adopted and samples of 100 respondents were selected in the organization; Pearson
correlation coefficient (r) was used to test the hypotheses. The results revealed that there is a
significant relationship between job insecurity and motivation (r= .640**, p=.000<0.05). The
study also found that there is a significant negative relationship between job insecurity and job
performance (r=.482**, p=.000<0.05). The study also found that there is a significant positive
relationship between motivation and job performance. (r= .675**, p=.000<0.05). And it was
concluded that organizations take measures to ensure job security of their employees to increase
their motivation as this improves job performance. Assurance of job security is a motivation thus
high level of job performance which increases organization productivity. | |
