dc.description.abstractThe main purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between depression and anxiety among outpatients in Kampala Hospitals. The study is main objectives was to examine the level of depression and anxiety and the relationship between depression and anxiety among outpatients. A correlational research design was deployed for the study and this made it possible to explore the interrelationships between variables. Sampling of this study comprised 20 respondents and included both male and female using stratified random sampling. Data was analyzed using frequencies and percentages for the first and second hypotheses and Pearson product moment correlation coefficient for the third hypotheses. As a result of this study, there was a significant positive relationship between depression and anxiety among outpatients in Kampala.en_US
