Work life balance, employee motivation and job performance among staff of National Environmental Management Authority, Kampala-Uganda

The purpose of the study was to establish the relationship between work-life balance, employee motivation and job performance among the staff of National Environmental Management Authority, Kampala-Uganda. The study employed the quantitative approach research design where a cross-sectional and correlational study designs were used. The target population of the study included all employees of National Environmental Management Authority, both males and females aged between 25-60 years who were composed of 90 employees in the selected departments. The instrument used for the study contained already developed standardized questionnaires on work life balance, employee motivation and job performance. Data analysis was done on both descriptive and inferential statistics, interpreted and presented findings in an understandable and logical way. Work life Balance has been found to have a positive non-significant relationship with Employee Motivation Initiatives. Work life Balance also had a positive non-significant relationship with Job Performance. Employee Motivation Initiatives has also been found to have a non-significant positive relationship with Job Performance.
