dc.description.abstractThe main purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between social support, self-esteem and depression among adolescents. A correlational research design was used. A sample if 100 adolescents both boy and girls aged between 13-20 years were selected by use of simple random sampling technique. Data was collected by use of self-administered questionnaire and was analyzed using the statistical package for social scientist (SPSS, version 21). Pearson Correlation coeffient was used to test the significance of the hypotheses. Results revealed that there is a significant relationship between social support and depression, as well as self-esteem and depression among school going adolescents. Additionally, results also revealed that there is a significant relationship between social support and self-esteem.en_US
