dc.description.abstractThe study aimed at finding out the relationship between work teams, employee participation and job satisfaction among doctors of Mulago Hospital. The study adopted a quantitative study design which was correlation in nature with a population of 500 doctors. Simple random sampling technique was used to draw a sample of 217 respondents from the population. Data was collected from respondents using self-administered standard questionnaire and entered in the computer for analysis through Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software version 23. Descriptive statistics showed that 68.7% of the respondents were female and 31.3% were male, majority were between 18-27 years (54.4%). Results from Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient (r) further indicated that there was a significant positive relationship between work teams and employee participation, (r=.558**, p=.000), as well as a significant positive relationship between employee participation and job satisfaction, (r=.716**, p=.000), and there was also a significant positive relationship work teams and job satisfaction, (r=.978**, p=.000). Therefore, the present study provides a basis and implications for further investigation on the relationship between work teams, employee participation and job satisfaction among doctors in different fields in different hospitals, both private and public. It was recommended that the management of Mulago Hospital needs to design strategies of improving work teams in order to promote doctors participation in different activities at work place.en_US
