dc.description.abstractThis research study titled “ Employee Engagement, Job Satisfaction and Job Performance among Makerere university non relationship between academic staff”. The purpose of this study was to establish the Employee Engagement, Job Satisfaction and Job Performance among Maker ere university nonacademic staff . The study was descriptive and analytical in nature where both qualitative and quantitative methods of data collection were used through Questionnaires, interviews and observation. Collected data was analysed using SPSS an presented in form of frequency tables, percentages and graphs. d was The analysis was carried out descriptively. However, inferential statistics particularly the Pearson’s Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMCC) was used to test the significance of the relationships between employee engagement, job satisfaction and job performance. The results indicated that there is a positive and statistically significant relationship between employee engagement and job satisfaction. There is also a positive and statistically significant relationship between employee engagement and job satisfaction and finally there is a positive and statistically significant relationship between job satisfaction and job performance. Basing on the findings the following recommendations were put forward; the management of Makerere University needs to improve the job satisfaction levels among its nonacademic staff through providing quality supervision, increasing pay and incentives, providing a good working environment that is also includes presence materials to be used. This can help increase the satisfaction of its employees and in turn they can perform better on their jobs. High performance in the 21st century today demands innovation, flexibility and speed. Therefore, employers need to engage their employees especially by giving them participation, freedom and trust.en_US
