dc.description.abstractThis study aims to investigate the relationship between variables of self-esteem, depression and substance use among adolescents in Nabweru Sub County, Wakiso district. The study seeks to examine the hypotheses below; the relationship between self-esteem and depression, the influence of depression on substance use and the influence of self-esteem on substance use. The study was conducted using a cross sectional study among respondents both male and female using a questionnaire with questions and statements that measure self-esteem, depression and substance use among adolescents in Nabweru Sub County, Wakiso district. There was a significant relationship between self-esteem and depression, between depression and substance use and between self-esteem and substance use according to the results obtained. Recommendations and suggestions for future research were made.en_US
