dc.description.abstract | The study investigated the relationship between social support, self-esteem and depression among University students. It was conducted among students of Makerere University. A cross-sectional survey design that was quantitative in nature was adopted. A sample of 100 university students both boys and girls aged between 15-30 years was selected by use of simple random sampling technique. Data was collected by use of semi-structured questionnaires and was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS v23). Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (r) was used to test the significance of the hypotheses.
