dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the study is to explore the perception of community members about people living with HIV Kanoni town council Gomba District basing on the following objective; to assess attitude among community on people living with HIV in Kanoni Town Council Gomba District The study wil l focus on knowledge, behavior and feelings about the scourge and those who suffer from it. The study will be carried out from Kanoni Town Council Gomba District. The area is chosen because there many people living with HIV, and will cover a time scope of months, from July 2021 to October 2021 four The research design will be descriptive and only qualitative data will be collected. A sample of 15 respondents identified by Krejcie and Morgan 1970 table will be used comprising of 5 local leaders and 10 family members. Purposive sampling will be used to select family members and local leaders in Kanoni Town Council Gomba District until when the required sample size is raised. Primary data will be collected by the use of interview guide. Thematic analysis will be used were verbative information collected by interview guide will be screened to come up with proper information. Findings revealed that people who are HIV positive are not segregated by the community member, people fear to be infected with HIV a condom, ids that is why they feel secure when using some people get HIV/AIDS willingly or recklessly and others get by accident, so it’s very hard to identify those who got by accident and those who recklessly got it, it’s good for one partner to declare t o the other when infected with HIV aids, but those with HIV need to start taking tablets, and also have sex with those who are HIV positive. Findings also revealed that People living with HIV aids need to be counseled so that they can have hope in their lives, they also have stigma that’s why they shy away from people, ARVs are too big they scare people who are meant to use them, HIV positive patients need to admit because there is no medicine that cures it, people who take alcohol don’t fear aids, and HIV aids is there.en_US
