The study aimed at finding out the relationship between sexual control and HIV risk behaviours among students of Makerere University. The study adopted a quantitative study design which was correlation in nature with a population of 200. Simple random sampling technique was used to draw a sample of 132 respondents from the population. Data was collected from respondents using self-administered standard questionnaire and entered in the computer for analysis through Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software version 23. Descriptive statistics showed that there more females (79.5%) compared to males (20.5%), majority of participants were in the group of 18-25 years (90.9%). Results from percentages indicated there are high levels of sexual control (79.5%), and high levels of HIV risk behaviours (60.6%). Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient (r) further indicated that there was no relationship between sexual control and HIV risk behaviours, (r=.039, p=.657). Therefore, the present study provides a basis and implications for further investigation on the levels of sexual control, HIV risk behaviours and relationship between sexual control and HIV risk behaviours among university students in different universities both public and private. It was recommended that the management of School of Education Makerere University needs to design policies that support students apply sexual control and reduce on engaging in HIV risk behaviours.en_US
