dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to access the public opinion of physical activity on work performance in organizations in Kampala district. The study had the following objectives, to examine the relationship between physical activities and work performance to find out whether by participating in physical activities, it is possible to improve work performance and to examine the best ways to utilize physical activities in order to improve work performance. The study adopted a correlational research design and a random sampling technique was used. Data was collected from 80 respondents using a self-administered questionnaire which was filled physically and was later analyzed using the statistical package for social sciences. The findings showed that there was a positive insignificant relationship a task performance at r = .16 and p>0.05, physical activities is positively and significantly related to contextual performance at r=.27 and p<0.05, physical activity has a negative insignificant relationship with counter productive work behaviour at r= .16 and p > 0.05 Conclusively, the results were discussed and compared with other scholar’s research.
