Public service motivation, employee engagement and turnover intention among employees of Movit Products Limited
Abstract
A number of employees whose intention to leave the organization is contributed to a number of factors such as the employees level of engagement and motivation at the place of work. The research sought to examine the relationship between public service motivation, employee engagement and turnover intentions among employees of Movit Products Limited. It adopted a cross-sectional survey design in which structured self-administered questionnaires were used to collect data and were analyzed using statistical package for Social Sciences (SPSS 21). A total of 60 employees, both male and female participated in the study. The Pearson's product moment correlation co-efficient test was used to test the hypothesis. The study revealed that there was a significant positive relationship between Public Service Motivation and Employee engagement. It also revealed that Public Service Motivation influences turn over intentions.
It further revealed a positive relationship between employee engagement and turnover
intentions.
