dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship Public Service Motivation, Employee Engagement and Job Satisfaction among Employees of Mulago National Hospital. The study adopted a quantitative study design which was correlation in nature with a population of 85 employees. Simple random sampling technique was used to draw a sample of 70 respondents from the population. Data was collected from respondents using self-administered standard questionnaire and entered in the computer for analysis through Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software version 25. Descriptive statistics showed that 74.3% of the respondents were female and 25.7% were male, majority was between 20-30 years (62.9%). Results from Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient (r) further indicated that there was a significant positive relationship between public service motivation and satisfaction, (r= . 978**, p=.000), as well as employee engagement and job satisfaction (r= .1.000**, p=.000), and there was also significant positive relationship between public service motivation and employee engagement, (r= .906**, p=.000). Therefore, the present study provides a basis and implications for further investigation on the relationship between public service motivation, employee engagement and job satisfaction among employees in different hospitals. It was recommended that the management of Mulago National Hospital, Kampala to needs to ensure that employees are motivated in order to improve job satisfaction and consequently enhance employee engagement.en_US
