dc.description.abstractThe main purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between occupational stress, employee motivation and turnover intentions. The objective of the study was relationship between occupational stress and employee motivation, to asses ; to assess the s the relationship between turnover intentions and occupational stress and to assess the relationship between turnover intention and employee motivation. The study adopted a correlational survey as its research design where quantitative method was used to gather information for proper analysis and making appropriate inferences, generalizations and conclusions to the population where a sample size of 80 employees of stanbic bank Uganda both male and female was used. The research study employed a simple rand sampling technique to select the respondents. A self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from the respondents and the analysis was done using SPSS version 21. Pearson correlation was used to examine the relationship between the study variables and it was found that occupational stress and turnover intentions are significantly related at the 0.01 level (2tailed), employee motivation and turnover intentions were also significantly related. How employee motivation and occupational stress w ere not significantly related. In conclusion the study found that both occupational stress and employee motivation plays a pivotal role in determining employee perception of job insecurity. The researcher recommended that Stanbic bank should carry out periodic employee attitudes surveys in order to determine employees attitudes such as turnover intentions.
