dc.description.abstractThe study aimed at examining the relationship between job insecurity, psychological wellbeing and organizational citizenship behavior among employees from Afro Park Hotel Muyenga. The study adopted a quantitative study design which was correlation in nature with a population of 75 employees. Simple random sampling technique was used to draw a sample of 63 respondents from the population. Data was collected from respondents using self-administered standard questionnaire and entered in the computer for analysis through Statistical Package for Social Science (SPSS) software version 23. Descriptive statistics showed that 58.3% of the respondents were female and 41.7% were male, majority were between 40-49 years (53.3%). Results from Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient (r) further indicated that there was a significant negative relationship between job insecurity and psychological wellbeing, (r= -. 456**, p=.000), as well job insecurity and organizational citizenship behaviour (r= -. 363**, p=.000), however, there was significant positive relationship between psychological wellbeing and organizational citizenship behaviour, (r= .613**, p=.000). Therefore, the present study provides a basis and implications for further investigation on the relationship between job insecurity, psychological wellbeing and organizational citizenship behaviour among employees in different companies. It was recommended that the administration of Afro Park Hotel Muyenga to needs to ensure that there is job security in order to improve the psychological wellbeing of workers and organizational citizenship behaviour.en_US
