dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between plagiarism, student motivation and academic performance among BIOP students at School of Psychology Makerere University. The study intended to achieve the following objectives; to establish whether plagiarism and student motivation are related, to find out whether plagiarism and academic performance are related and to establish whether student motivation and academic performance are related. A cross sectional survey design using quantitative approach was adopted and data was collected from a sample of 155respondents. The researcher used Pearson product moment correlation coefficient (r) to test hypothesis 1, 2, and 3. The findings of the study revealed that there is a positive significant relationship between plagiarism, student motivation and academic performance. The researcher recommended that there is need to do more research on plagiarism, student motivation and academic performance using more measurable means to create a wider dimension of the results.en_US
