| dc.description.abstract | The study sought to examine the relationship between locus of control, risk taking behaviour and academic achievement among secondary school students. A quantitative design with the correlational method was adopted to establish the relationship between the variables. A total of 30 students participated in the study, data collected was analysed using statistical package for social scientists (SPSS), where Pearson correctional coefficient ® was used to test the significance of the hypotheses. The study revealed that there is no significant relationship between locus of control and academic achievement. The study also revealed that there is no significant relationship between locus of control and risk-taking behaviour. Furthermore, the study revealed that there is no significant relationship between locus of control and academic achievement. | en_US |
