dc.description.abstractThe study was carried out to investigate the relationship between Anxiety, Depression and Suicidal Ideations among Adolescents in Kampala District. The study followed objectives like to find out whether there is a significant relationship between variables of study i.e. Anxiety, Depression and Suicidal Ideations among Adolescents. A sample of both adolescent males and females (N=100) was samples using a self-administered questionnaire with highly proven items. The 100 respondents were randomly selected using a correlational study design. The data was analyzed using the Statistical Software Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) and Pearson’s Product Moment Correlation Coefficient was used to determine the significance of the relationships among variables. The findings indicated that there is a significant relationship between anxiety and depression r = .606 and p = .000, for the relationship between Anxiety and suicidal ideations, it was found out that the two variables are significantly related r= -.323 and p= .001 and r = -.441 and p = .000 for the relationship between depression and Suicidal ideations which were significantly related. The study recommended that Local council authorities and school administrations should put in place counseling sessions for students who are affected by depression and have a low self-esteem since it may affect the overall functioning of adolescents in their studies. Psycho education trainings should be provided to adolescents to equip them with diversity of skill on how to cope with depression.en_US
