Stress, depression and drug abuse among University Students
Abstract
The study aimed at finding out whether stress, depression and drug abuse among University students are interrelated. The study revealed that stress and depression are significantly related, which implies that students who measure high on stress are at a high risk of developing depressive disorders compared to their colleagues who measure low on stress levels. The study also revealed a significant relationship between depression and drug abuse among University students, which means that students who are depressed are more likely to engage into drug abuse and the vice versa. However, the results revealed a no significant relationship between stress and drug abuse among University students.
