dc.description.abstractThe aim of the study was to examine the relationship between Perceived social support, Stress and Depression among Students of Makerere University. The study was conducted at Makerere University in Kampala District. A correlation study design was used and 200 students participated in this study. Simple random sampling technique was used to select the respondents. Semi structured questionnaires were the main tools in data collection and data was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient (r) was used to determine the level of significance of the hypotheses. Results indicated that there is no significant relationship between Perceived social support and Depression as well as no significant relationship between Stress and Depression among Students. However, results revealed that there is a significant relationship between Perceived social support and Stress among Students of Makerere University.en_US
