dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between Family Violence, Parentchild relationship, and Alcohol Abuse among Adolescents. A correlation research design using quantitative approach was used and the study used primary data which was obtained by administering questionnaires to 100 adolescents within Katanga slums, Kampala metropolitan area. The data collected was analyzed using SPSS software version 26.0. The data collected was analyzed using descriptive statistics. The study revealed that there is a significance relationship between family violence and alcohol abuse. The study also revealed that there is a significant relationship between parent child relationship and alcohol abuse and lastly the study revealed that there is a relationship between family violence and parent child relationship among adolescents. I recommend that Non-governmental Organizations that work with adolescents and schools should design formal training initiatives that can train the parents of adolescents so that they are aware of the consequences of violence within the family on the relationships with their children.en_US
