dc.description.abstractThe study sought to find out the relationship between employee engagement and work performance among the the lecturers under Kyambogo University . The study objectives were mainly; to examine the levels of employee engagement among the lecturers of Kyambogo University, to find out the levels of work performance among the lecturers of Kyambogo University and establish the relationship between employee engagement and work performance among the lecturers of Kyambogo University. A correlational study design was used in the study to establish the relationship between two variables. The study used a total of 43 sample respondents who were subjected to simple random sampling technicque of sampling. Data was then collected using using self- administered questionnares. The researcher analysed data using statistical package for social scientist versaion 23( SPSS) and pearson correlation coefficient (r) was used to test the hypothesis. The levels of employee engagement among the lectures under Kyambogo University were significantly high, the levels of work performance among the lecturers under Kyambogo University were fairly high, there was a positive non-significant relationship between employee engagement and work performance ( r=.241, p>0.05). The levels of employee engagement and job performance among employees under Kyambogo University are relatively high. There is a positive nonsignificant relationship between employee engagement and employee performance between the two variables.en_US
