dc.description.abstractThis study explored and assessed the impacts of the COVID-19 Lockdown on Psychosocial Wellbeing and Academic Performance of students in Uganda particularly Makerere University A structured questionnaire survey was conducted to explore this study and a correlational survey study design was used to give basis of a coefficient relationship. The results showed that the respondents were single students mostly female, most of whom were full time students between the age of 18 and 25 who were not psychologically affected in their social lives by the Lockdown restrictions. These psychosocial states of the University students highly affected and interfered with their Academic Performance. The study noted a high rate of idleness, poor mental health over the lockdown period puts students at risk of health complications and lower their concentration at school which eventually affected their academic performance and poses a potential threat to the healthcare and Education systemen_US
