Organizational politics, employee engagement and Job satisfaction among employees in Rwampara District Local Government.
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between employee engagement,
organizational politics and job satisfaction among employee in Rwampara District Local
government. A correlational study design was used to establish the relationship between employee
engagement, organizational politics and job satisfaction among the employees. The sample size
consisted of 40 male and female employees. Data was collected using self-administered
questionnaire and was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS). Pearson’s
Correlation Coefficient (r) was used to determine the level of significance of the hypotheses.
Results showed that, there is a significant relationship between employee engagement and job
satisfaction (r= .813, p = .000). The results further revealed that, there is no significant relationship
between organizational politics and Employee Engagement. Finally the results show that there is
no significant relationship between organizational Politics and Job Satisfaction.
