Job insecurity, employee mental Health and satisfaction among Teachers of Makindye Secondary School
Abstract
The major purpose of this study was to find out whether job insecurity relates to employee
mental health, to establish the relationship between employee mental health and satisfaction
and also to ascertain whether job insecurity affects satisfaction among teachers at Makindye
Secondary School
The researcher used sample of 80 respondents who were adopted using sampling technique
and data was collected using self-administered questionnaires and later analyzed using SPSS
(Statistical Package for Social Scientists). The findings showed negative insignificant
correlation between job insecurity and employee mental health (p=0.051, r= -0.661).
Furthermore the findings a positive significant correlation between employee mental health
and satisfaction among teachers whereby (p=0.04, r=0.434). However findings showed a
negative insignificant correlation between job insecurity and satifaction (r =.135, p =.233 >
0.05)
