The study used a total of 37 respondents who were subjected to simple accidental random sampling technique. Data was then collected using self administered questionnaires, the research analyzed data using Statistical Package for Social Scientists version 20 (SPSS) and Pearson correlation coefficient (r) was used to test the hypothesis. The levels of work engagement were found to be high, results revealed high levels of organizational commitment. Findings also revealed that there is a positive significant relationship between work engagement and organizational commitment (r=.411, P <0.05). The levels of work engagement and organizational commitment among Kyambogo University lecturers are relatively and fairly high respectively. There is a relatively significant relationship between the two variables. Several policies should be put in place by the University to give a hand to the employers’ wellbeing rather than focusing on the organization entirely.en_US
