dc.description.abstractThe aim of the study was to examine the relationship between stress, peer pressure and substance abuse among school going adolescents. The study was conducted at trinity college secondary school, Kawempe, Kampala district. A correlation design was used and 100 students participated in this study, simple random sampling techniques was used to select the respondent. Semi structured questionnaires were the main tools in data collection and data was analysed using statistical package for social sciences (SPSS). Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient (r) was used to test the significance of the hypotheses. Results indicated that there is significant relationship between stress and peer pressure as well as peer pressure and substance abuse among school going adolescents. However, results revealed that there was no significant relationship between stress and substance abuse among school going adolescentsen_US
