Domestic violence, parenting styles and perceived neglect: a study among students in Makindye Division
Abstract
The study investigated the relationship between domestic violence, Parenting Styles and Perceived Neglect among students in Makindye Division. The sample consisted of 100 students from form one to form six in different schools in Makindye Division. Research was made using self-administered questionnaires with close ended questions to obtain data from respondents and data analysis was made using Pearson product moment correlation Coefficient.
The analysis reviewed that Domestic Violence and Perceived neglect are significantly related. Furthermore revealed that domestic violence and parenting styles are related. The results also showed that parenting styles and perceived neglect are not significantly related.
