dc.description.abstractThis research was carried out to examine the parental, Caregivers’ and Peers' influence on the social and emotional development among adolescents from Mount of Olives College, Kakiri. It was carried out in October. Many adolescents are lacking social and emotional abilities. Therefore this research looked at how interactions/associations and relationships with their parents, Caregivers' and peers influence the adolescents’social and emotional development. The study used an in-depth research design under Qualitative Research and Data was collected from 10 adolescents from Mount of Olives College, Kakiri. The findings revealed that the adolescents are more close to their female parents as compared to their male parents. There's also negligence with helping these adolescents develop their social and emotional abilities to the fullest. It also found that the actions and behaviors of the parents and caregivers directly and greatly influence how the adolescents deal with their emotions and how good their social skills are. The study recommended the need for parental (especially male parents) involvement in the social and emotional development of their childrenen_US
