Workplace incivility, supportive supervision, emotional exhaustion among workers in Insurance Company of East Africa (ICEA)
Abstract
The study seeked to establish the relationship between work incivility, supportive supervision and emotional exhaustion among workers in Insurance Company of East Africa. . The objectives examined the relationship between work incivility and supportive supervision in the Insurance Company of East Africa , then examined the relationships between work incivility and supportive supervising among employees in the Insurance company of East Africa and lastly the relationship between supportive supervision and emotional exhaustion. To achieve these objectives, correlation research was conducted and 117 from respondents were used as a sample population among workers at Insurance Company of East Africa. Pearson correlation was used and the findings show that emotional exhaustion has a positive significant relationship with work incivility There was also a moderately significant relationship between supportive supervision, workplace incivility and emotional exhaustion. The research concluded that there was a negative non-significant relationship between work incivility and supportive supervision The finding also showed that there was a negative non-significant relationship between supportive supervision and emotional exhaustion
