This study investigated the relationship between work place demands, coping mechanisms, and the psychological well-being of employees of Housing Finance Bank. A survey was conducted with fifty two (52) employees of the above mentioned organization and the results showed that the more the work place demands of employees, the lower their psychological well-being. This was most likely because high levels of workplace demands led to anxiety, stress and burnout among the employees. The study also found out that employees that engaged in healthy coping mechanisms such as seeking psychological support and engaging in physical exercises reported a better/ healthier psychological state as compared to those who indulged in negative coping mechanisms like substance abuse. The findings of this study suggest that a high work load consequentially leads to a lower psychological well-being amongst employees ofHousing Finance Bank, but the use of healthy coping mechanisms can help mitigate the effects. Employers and employees can work together to create a more supportive work environment that minimizes and controls work demands and encourages the use of healthy coping mechanisms.en_US
