dc.description.abstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between Personality Traits, Stress levels and Academic Performance among students of Kasengejje Senior Secondary School. The objectives of the study were to establish the relationship between Personality Traits and Academic Performance, to examine the relationship between Stress level and Academic Performance and to ascertain the relationship between Personality Traits and Stress levels. The study was using a sample 266 respondents, 134 male and 132 female secondary school students from Kasengejje Secondary School which study was adopted using a correlational survey design. Data was collected using self-administered questionnaires and later analyzed the data using SPSS (Statistical Package for Social Scientists). The findings show that Personality Traits and Stress level are positively related (r=0.390, p>0.01). The findings also show that Personality traits and Average score are not significantly related (r=0.47, p>0.01). Furthermore the findings also show that Stress level and Average score are also not significantly related (r=0.046, p>0.01). These findings provide a foundation for interventions to be created in order to facilitate better academic performance of students by working with their different personalities and helping them manage their stress levelsen_US
