dc.description.abstractThe purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between sleep quality, stress levels, and job performance among working mothers around Kampala. The study intended to achieve the following objectives; to examine the relationship between sleep quality and job performance. To examine the relationship between stress repute and job performance. To examine the relationship between sleep quality and stress repute. The study used a sample of 50 respondents. Table 5 showed that there is a positive significant relationship between sleep quality and stress levels at r = .354*, p< 0.05. Hence the first hypothesis was rejected. Table 6 showed that there is no significant relationship between stress levels and job performance at r = .237, p>0.05. Therefore the second hypothesis was retained. Table 7 showed there is a positive and significant relationship between sleep quality and job performance at r = .499**, p < 0.01. Therefore the third hypothesis was rejected. Findings implied that the sleep quality in working mother is related to their stress levels, the stress levels however do not relate with their work performance despite the sleep quality affecting their job performance. In conclusion this study infers that majority of working mothers have to foot the effects that come with child up bringing to a large extent inclusive of having sleepless nights despite having to perform at their work. It was recommended that working mothers in the formal and informal sector should revise their sleeping schedules and ought to have healthy hours of sleep, employers should also schedule flexible hours and encourage a work-life balance for working mothersen_US
