Occupational attitudes, job satisfaction and turnover intentions among employee of Britannia.

Abstract

The purpose of the study was to examine the relationship between occupational attitude, job satisfaction and turnover intentions among employees at Britannia industries. A correlational study design that is quantitative was adopted to establish the relationship between the study variables. Data collected was analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), where a Pearson correlation coefficient (r) was used to test the significance of the hypotheses. The findings indicated that there is a significant relationship between occupational attitudes and job satisfaction, the study findings also indicated that there is a negative relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intentions implying that an increase job satisfaction leads to decrease in turnover intentions, lastly the findings of this indicated that there is a relationship between job occupational attitudes and turnover intentions. Basing on this study Britannia industries limited should encouraged to have employee development program which will make employees flexible and feel engaged with the company, this will reduce the turnover intentions by employees
